What is Restatementisation (Demat → SOA)?

Restatementisation is a process of converting mutual fund units held in demat form back into Statement of Account (SOA) form, which means the units are moved out of your demat account and recorded directly with the Asset Management Company (AMC).

Timeline:
Typically processed within 7 business days of DP receiving all required documents .

1. Obtain the Restatementization Request Form (RRF/MF‑RRF) from your DP

2. Fill in the RRF: include DP‑ID, Client‑ID, ISIN, quantity (or “ALL”), lock-in date if applicable.

3. Submit RRF to your DP.

4. DP logs request in the system (assigns RRN) and forwards it to RTA

5. RTA verifies: confirms matching holdings and lock-in status. If valid, they cancel (extinguish) corresponding demat units and issue a Statement of Account.

6. Physical SOA is dispatched to you

7. Once completed, your demat account’s ISIN balance is debited accordingly.
